Show Rules and Entry Information

Fees are $30.00 per class.

 
Full payment and signatures of rider, juniors must have a guardian’s signature.  (junior, under 18 yrs old)

 
Make check payable to Xhalt Equestrian Center, and mail to: 14479 South Island Road, Columbia Station, Ohio 44028.

 
If show is oversubscribed, you will be put on a waiting list.

 
Returned checks will be assessed a $25.00 fee.

 
Entry must be postmarked on opening date up to and including closing date.

 
A rider/ horse combination may enter a maximum of 3 classes.

 
Xhalt Equestrian Center reserves the right to limit entries, to add, combine or cancel classes.

 
Scratches/Refund Xhalt Equestrian Center should be notified immediately if you cannot attend so that riders on a waiting list can be contacted.  Full refund if Xhalt Equestrian is notified before closing date.  After closing date, if riding time can be filled a refund will be issued.

 
Ring Size:  All classes will be indoors with large arena. 

 
Show Attire:  Braids and formal attire are not required. Riding breeches jodhpurs, boots, paddock boots are required. A plain shirt collar and sleeves can be worn.  No full Chaps.

 
Helmets:  Certified head gear with harness secured must be worn while mounted at all times.

 
Show Tack:  Xhalt Equestrian regulation correspond to the dressage regulation as set forth in the USDF rule book.  Only snaffle bits are permitted below Third Level. No leg wraps other protective boots can be worn in the show ring.  One whip no longer than 43.3 inches (110cm) is allowed.  Any English-style saddle may be used.

 Awards:  Six ribbons will be awarded for the classes listed.

 
Ride Times:  Ride times are available online at www.xhalteqcenter.com  by the Wednesday prior to the show or call

Xhalt Equestrian Team Challenge Competition Rules

1.      Have fun and smile!

2.      Teams will consist of three or four entries

3.      Horses/rider may only show on one team.

4.      Each team member may choose the level they would like to ride. However team entries may not have competed at previous shows more than one level above or below their team rides.

5.      Each team member must ride two tests.

6.      At no time while on the show grounds may any horse entered in the team competition be ridden by anyone other than the rider entered in the team competition.

7.      Scoring: Highest score of each team members rides will be used.  The combined score will be dividend by the numbers of team members to compute team placing . Example:  Blue team: Mary highest score 59% Jill highest score 60% and Sue highest score 62%=181 divided by 3=60.33%

8.      Team competition is open to Junior/Young riders and Adult Amateur.                                                                  

9.      A team may represent a farm, barn, Pony Club, 4-H    Club, or be a group of individuals. Team names are

          encouraged. Team outfits and colors are encouraged.

          Have fun with this. No T-shirts…collar and sleeves

     required. Some examples are: match colors with polo

     shirts, helmet covers, saddle pads, and brow bands

        Have your team logo embroidered on your saddle pads,

 shirts, armbands, etc.
